The "fireTVdude" is going to explain in detail, how to update your fireTV stick to the latest stable version of KODI 16.0. Simply follow the step by step instructions I have created below for you, it's easy !
1) With your fireTVstick remote control press the "home button" once, this will take you to the Amazon home screen.
2) Now that you're on the the Amazon home screen, using your fireTVstick remote control scroll down to settings (on left side screen) and click enter.
3) Next scroll to the "Right" to "Applications" (icon with rocket ship) and click enter.
4) Next scroll down to "Manage installed Applications" and click enter.
5) Next scroll down to "FireStarter" and click enter.
6) Click "Launch Application"
7) Now you're in the FireStarter application, using your fireTVstick remote control scroll down to "Updates".
8) To the right side you will see "KODI" check for update and *Update to latest Version scroll to the right and and click on *Update to latest Version.
9) Download will begin and you will see a message reading "Download in progress" wait for this to complete.
10) Next you will see a screen with a message reading "Do you want to install an update to this existing Application?" with a box under it reading "New" and "All" "Highlight "New" and scroll "down" to "Install" and click enter.
11) KODI 16.0 is now being downloaded to your fireTVstick - wait for this process to complete and then scroll down to "Done"
You now have KODI 16.0 downloaded to your device.
